Mussel powder has a very distinctive taste and is sourced from the North Atlantic before being cooked, dried and micro milled. The colour of the powder ranges from dark green to dark brown depending on the season but the taste will remain consistent. It typically comprises of 74% crude protein and 10% crude lipid (fat). The raw materials undergo processing in a manner that preserves the nutritional qualities and sensory characteristics of cooked mussel as well as having a 12 month shelf life.
